How to Register for the Meeting

To register, please click the "Register" tab at the top of this page. Follow the instructions on each of the steps of the registration form. A confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided. Please note, you MUST register for the meeting and reserve your hotel room separately. There is no registration fee.

How to Reserve a Hotel Room for the Meeting

To register, please click the "Hotel" tab at the top of this page. Scroll below the map and click the hotel booking link. A confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided. Please note, you MUST register for the meeting and reserve your hotel room separately.

Hotel Information

The meeting will be at the Town and Country Resort, located at 500 Hotel Circle N., San Diego, CA 92108. The group rate is $199 plus applicable taxes. This rate expires on August 31, 2026 or when the reserved block of rooms sells out (whichever comes first). Click here for more information on the hotel.

Session Selection

During registration, you will be asked to select the sessions you are most interested in attending. Please select only one session per block. To view more information about each session, including the presenter’s name, affiliation, and a short description of the session, click on the "Sessions" Tab. Your selections will be included in your confirmation email.

Please note that your selections are collected for planning purposes only. You are not required to attend the sessions you select during registration. Sessions will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and your selection does not guarantee a spot in the session.

Know Before You Go

The week prior to the meeting you will receive a "Know Before You Go" email with additional event details. Please let us know if you do not receive your "Know Before You Go" by the end of the day on September 15th. Be sure to check your spam folder before contacting us.

Getting from the Airport to the Hotel

The nearest airport is the San Diego International Airport. The hotel is a 15-30 minute drive from the airport, depending on traffic. To hail a cab or access a rideshare, follow airport signage for the Transportation Plaza.

You can also take the Flyer shuttle bus to the Old Town Transit center and then take bus 88 to Hotel Circle.

Parking Onsite

Parking is $30 per day for hotel guests and $35 per day for non-guests.

Town and Country Resort offers several convenient dining options on site, making it easy to grab a meal, coffee, or snack without leaving the hotel.

Dining at Town and Country Resort

  • ARLO – A full-service restaurant featuring breakfast, brunch, and dinner with a focus on fresh, locally inspired California cuisine.
  • Lapper Sports Bar + Kitchen – A casual sports bar offering burgers, tacos, appetizers, local craft beer, and cocktails. Great for a relaxed lunch, dinner, or gathering with colleagues.
  • The MRKT – A grab-and-go market serving coffee, pastries, breakfast burritos, sandwiches, salads, pizza, snacks, and ice cream. Perfect for a quick bite between sessions.
  • Monkeybar – Located near the lobby, Monkeybar offers craft cocktails, local beer, small plates, and outdoor seating around fire pits.
  • Lap It Up – The resort's poolside bar and grill, featuring beverages, light bites, and casual fare.

Within Walking Distance

The resort is located in Mission Valley, with many dining options within a 5-15 minute walk, including:

  • Benihana – Japanese teppanyaki and sushi
  • Dave & Buster's – Casual dining, games, and sports viewing
  • Tender Greens – Fresh salads, bowls, and California-inspired fare
  • Yard House – American cuisine with an extensive beer selection

San Diego is known for its outstanding food scene, and many popular dining districts are just a short Uber, Lyft, or taxi ride from the resort:

  • Little Italy – Italian restaurants, cafes, and lively nightlife
  • Gaslamp Quarter – Dining, entertainment, and nightlife
  • North Park – Trendy restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops
  • Pacific Beach – Casual beachfront dining and ocean views

At the Resort

The MRKT (Town and Country Resort)
The resort's grab-and-go market offers Lavazza coffee, specialty coffee drinks, pastries, breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, and snacks. It's the most convenient option for attendees staying onsite.

Within Walking Distance

  • Spill the Beans Coffee and Bagels – Locally owned coffee shop serving specialty coffee, bagels, and breakfast sandwiches. Open daily: 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
  • Finjan Coffee Shop Co. – A unique coffee shop featuring Turkish coffee, specialty espresso drinks, pastries, and desserts. Open weekdays: 6:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; weekends: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • OX Coffee – Popular Mission Valley coffee shop offering espresso drinks, coffee, and light breakfast options. Open weekdays: 5:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; weekends: 6:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • The King's Craft Coffee Co. – A small local coffee spot perfect for a quick morning coffee run. Open weekdays: 7:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
  • Starbucks Coffee Company – Familiar favorites, breakfast sandwiches, and mobile ordering. Open daily: 4:30 a.m.–9:00 p.m.

What to Pack

San Diego in late September is typically warm, sunny, and comfortable, making it a great destination to enjoy both the meeting and the surrounding area. We recommend packing:

  • Lightweight, comfortable clothing for warm daytime temperatures
  • A light sweater or jacket for air-conditioned meeting rooms and cooler evenings
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat for outdoor activities
  • A reusable water bottle to stay hydrated
  • A notebook, journal, or device for taking notes and capturing ideas throughout the conference
  • A swimsuit if you'd like to enjoy the hotel’s swimming pools during your stay

On Wednesday evening, we will host a Ribbon Skirt and Jewelry Swap. Participants are welcome to bring ribbon skirts and shirts, jewelry, or other handmade items they would like to exchange with fellow attendees. Additionally, themed days are planned throughout the meeting, so attendees may also want to pack accordingly.

  • Wear traditional attire during Tuesday evening’s opening celebration
  • Rock your mocs or wear your favorite jewelry on Wednesday
  • Represent your program by wearing your program shirt on Thursday
  • Wear your ribbon skirts and shirts to celebrate California Native American Day on Friday
