Activities

The meeting will offer optional opportunities to celebrate Native communities and build connections across the Native home visiting field through an opening cultural celebration, after-hours networking activities, and other opportunities to share and connect.

Tuesday Evening ASTHVI Reception

Join the Association for State and Tribal Home Visiting Initiatives (ASTHVI) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. PT on Tuesday, September 22, for an evening of connection and conversation. All meeting attendees are welcome to come enjoy time with colleagues from across the home visiting community.

Shortly after the reception begins, Tribal MIECHV program teams are invited to pick up food and join us for a conversation to share strategies, discuss challenges and opportunities, and connect with peers. If you've ever felt like you were navigating the complexities of implementing a Tribal MIECHV grant on your own, wished you had a place to exchange ideas with peers who understand your work, or wanted to learn from others facing similar opportunities and challenges, this gathering is for you.

Come connect with fellow Tribal Home Visiting teams, share strategies and promising practices, build new relationships, and learn more about how ASTHVI supports state and Tribal Home Visiting programs throughout the year.

Tuesday Evening Opening and Cultural Celebration

Join us at 7:00 p.m. PT on Tuesday, September 22, for this opening celebration that will offer an opportunity to build community, encourage connection, share, and honor the varied cultures and communities participating in the meeting. All are welcome to attend this pre-session activity. You are welcome to dress in your traditional attire, jewelry, or bring an item of importance to you in honor of your culture. The opening ceremony will include welcome from meeting planners, a blessing from a local elder, and cultural performances.
